This gives the bit an aesthetic look and allows you to match it up with satin finish buckles on your bridle. The butterfly gag bits are generally used in driving. They have a mullen mouthpiece, a curb chain and two rings on each side to fasten to the driving reins. This bit is traditionally used with a breastplate harness rather than a collar harness. This bit has an 11mm thin mouthpiece.
